the pink house clearly needed a real tree.
because we're all about real.
i actually tried to get a white sparkley fake tree from biglots.... but the girls said a big no.
so.
we took a trip to home depot to do what felt like adopting a child.
we knew it was THE ONE when we all had chills as we looked at it.
we also knew it was the one when we had to stop the home depot guys from laughing at it from being so teensy. we like little.

we had that guy above take our picture. danny.
we also realized the second we left our freezing cold house that we kind of overdressed.

i made a star, because the other tree topper ideas we tried looked weird.
and what a perfect chance to use my $5 bottle of martha stewart GLITTER.

shining glory! we even rearranged the whole living room so that we could stare at it all day,

crossing my fingers that we dont start a fire,

!! yay cardboard,

my mom is awesome and gave me this tin of little gift tags that she thought we could use as ornaments. want to know if they're from anthropologie? they're not. say hello to coldwater creek. I KNOW.

I hope to see this tree when we come to Calif! I won't get one up here, even tho it is the land of Christmas tree farms. Thousands of places where you can go and cut your own live!!! I like that. Today is your Uncle Mike's 50th! Wish I was there, too.

(12.12.09 @ 08:43 AM)OH NO! I thought that star was a big cookie - I looked again today and it was cardboard. Cookies are better! It was 8:00 am this morning and it was still partly dark outside....that seems so strange, like Alaska, but it's Bellingham! See you soon, Shannon.
