he did everything right to appease her dad who is a pastor. you win, ronnie! :) :) they've been waiting for this day for a year. jessica planned everything to a T, but released the day to the wind and had fun. structure with freedom-- a willingness to be organic within a grid. things i am trying to work on in my life right now. both are needed. both are lovely. they need each other.

These could be some of my most favorite wedding shots you've ever done... yes, they are.

i like making spaces....
creating a sense of home in a unique way.
i've never really created a unique space outdoors.
i've relied on other people for that in the past.

this was another barrier to move past: PLANTS.
i have labeled myself as a person who can't keep plants alive.
i bought these succulents a few weeks ago and have been scared to re-pot them and give them their own place. well..... faced the fear and did it. i'm scared i will wake up one morning to completely dead plants. but hey. trying!

I wish I had come... but you look lovely in your new summer frock!
(06.01.10 @ 10:25 PM)i love your jars/containers for your plants. They bring so much more to them.
(06.01.10 @ 11:40 PM)
freeing up the mind and the body.
at the beginning of a session i usually tell people to let it all out.
that could mean a lot of things...
but what i'm getting at is to release anxiety....
settle into the space....
accept who you are and live it.
i asked donna to let it all out....
and she moved into a five or ten minute yoga flow sesh.
highlight!!
donna you have grace and fun and depth.
thank you for today,
These are so pretty - I love all the serene colors. And how you capture different limbs in those middle pictures. It truly embodies yoga!
(05.31.10 @ 05:08 PM)The mood of these pictures really came across - MELLOW and flexible! Soft to look at for me - thanks - LOVE YA! GR MA
(05.31.10 @ 07:12 PM)OMG! It's really me!. You are bringing the tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for seeing me. Om Shanti, Donna

often in the morning i have to stop myself and spend time paying attention to my soul first instead of filling the morning space with cleaning.
cleaning is easy and gets tactile results.
nourishing your spirit can seem murky and hard to pin down.
which it is.
but it always feels good.
much more PRODUCTIVE than dishes in the long run. eh?
anyway,
usually there's a pretty broad color spectrum going on with my dishes,
it seems like everything i own is colorful.
today though,
everything was white.
i was amazed and got out my camera to take photos.
then i cut up my strawberries and bananas for breakfast...
ate,
did those dishes,
and then there was yellow added in.
what?
unintentional.
i love when the stars align.
well, they always align.
shannon, as usual looking at your photos makes me feel... lighter on the inside. so lovely! I especially like the one with the bottom of the glass!
