my dad and i are on a little vacation in the truly beautiful, Vancouver, BC!
i lived here until i was 13, so its fun to visit the place i grew up.
we stayed at the Listel Hotel last night, and the first thing i noticed upon walking in the room was the coffee order form. they offer free french pressed coffee delivered right to your room. i think i just fell in love with a hotel.

we went on a little walk around the harbor.....................................

and i saw some great brush script, and decided to begin a collection of the worst font to ever exist. yes, i hate it more than comic sans, because it is used SO POORLY, everywhere. it hurts me.

so here i am in beautiful british columbia, loving my french pressed coffee and hating brush script, and about to go to WHISTLER!
more to come!

i made this bowl in my ceramics class.... its my daily reminder to embrace the quirks. :) someone almost threw away my little pretzel things while they were drying.... thank goodness i rescued those little guys.
basically every morning for breakfast i have granola, berries and honey greek yogurt and coffee------- it starts the day off with a burst and makes it happy.

I should make you some totally rad bowls for your apartment. I def. want to stop by again soon! You're amazing! Maybe I'll try to bring you a plant (seeing as its a growing trend... HA) in one of my authentic pots. :)

I love the touch of the French Press it must make it seem like home away from home.
(07.27.09 @ 02:35 PM)I'm with you on the brush script. 100%
(07.27.09 @ 05:07 PM)Hi Shannon, wish Whistler was closer so we could drive over there and give you a hug! It's about a day's drive away. I'm in the mountains, too. There are 6 mountain passes between you and me My mountains are still being hit by lightening every day - even this afternoon! love ya
(07.27.09 @ 08:40 PM)i am so, jealous.
(07.27.09 @ 11:23 PM)I like your french canadian coffee press!
(07.28.09 @ 05:30 PM)Uggg...Brush Script! I agree - worse than Comic Sans. Though I got sick of a font while I was in college called P22 Cezanne - it was EVERYWHERE in like 2002-2004!
(07.30.09 @ 04:53 PM)oh lord what about papyrus????
(07.31.09 @ 05:05 PM)I CANNOT TAKE THE PAPYRUS!
:)
I would have to agree that Papyrus is the worst font ever. But Brush Script is pretty bad as well. :)
