cosmo flew wildly around my room and of all places, decided to land on the flimsy butcher paper finger painting i did last month at my women's club and looked at the wall for a while. the bird who chooses to stand on the edge of paper and can actually balance.......wow. hello TALENT,

i found myself a bit bored with photographing my kitchen for a while----

but then i noticed the evening light and was re-enchanted.

oh, the back and forth of something being SO AMAZING AND INTERESTING and then somehow becoming boring. that fascinates me.

i wake up,

debate over whether to make breakfast first or sit in silence or have a shower.

while i am doing one of these things, cosmo hears that i'm up, and jumps down to the bottom of his cage and starts a) singing really really loudly, and b) pacing as fast as he can back and forth until i let him out. all he wants to do is join the party and to do his morning lap around the living room! he's getting more free by the day.

a, from shell world in florida. ie: tourist coral. i am always curious about that rusty color at the bottom.

b, from my friend rachey the wire artist. a reminder to embrace the overlooked. like wire and rocks.

c, obsessed with cardinals. danny painted this one day and mailed it to me. that was one awesome mail day.

d, from the czech, from a real blacksmith. more on this a little later.

e, a reminder to not live in fear

f) this one is so ordinary and not special to me....and this is why i keep it. just a shell.

g< one of the best textures ever. i hold it when i need a moment of peace. it looks like an ear.
