so, i'm essentially obsessed with this felt bird,
thank you genevieve for this,
you created the perfect inspiration.
absolutely love it. :)

she even mailed me pictures of it in process.... and i just about melted every time.

there he is! he watches me as i edit and email.

each stitch is so perfect. genevieve! how do you do it, girl.

in posting this i'm realizing i really need to photograph TAMRA.... the beauty of the world.... it will happen, next time i go over to borrow sugar or something (which i actually do need).
i got it at an indian open air market in santa barbara,
even though it totally doesnt look like it came from india.
and dolce perfectly situated herself on the rug tonight around eight,
so here we are.
two in one.
off to have a late dinner and to take a few breaths........
something i feel like i havent been able to do in about 2 weeks.
sigh.
i have a lot to do,
but breathing and eating are important.
how cute is this cat and that it makes its way wherever it pleases! what an enjoyable surprise to see her every so often!
(09.10.09 @ 11:10 AM)So I heard a story about a lady from Tennessee or the south somewhere who moved to LA and asked for a "lion cut" for her cat, and received similar to the above: shaved body with poofy head and poofs on all feet and tail. However, she had been saying "LINE cut" which is a simple trim where she's from; but her accent ruined her life. Or, at least her cat's.

rosanna is the queen of bedtime,
if she's not in her bed by 10 i ask her what's wrong,
and these days if i'm not in MY bed by 10
i'm dazed and out of it.
and so now i present to you,
ro last night around 9:50...
she came in the main room looking so rad
i couldnt help but bust out the camera.
Wow, she still looks good but what happened to her? Hmmm...you gals weren't having a pillow fight??
(08.24.09 @ 06:23 PM)If I were single and looking for roommates, I'd SO want to live with you guys.
(08.25.09 @ 10:48 AM)
they actually remind ro and i of our own friendship---- which i love.
this is val-----
a bacon connoisseur and garden-pro who has the biggest, best craft closet i've seen.
she has a boyfriend, carl who is a professor and a musician,
as well as a cat whom she adores: bj.
here she is in her garden which she waters every morning,
a rhythm in life which i envy, since i can't even keep a little pot of mint alive.

A bacon lover? Cafe Pasadena's Believe It or Not!: this area has quite a few females who are into their pork & bacon... I don't know. It must be something in the water.
Nice pics of a nice, caring neighbor.
I love you girls...

you should have seen my outfit two days ago.... anti-match heaven.
ooh, I really like this post. :)
(08.14.09 @ 10:11 AM)Ha ha. I love things that match. Can we still be friends?
(08.14.09 @ 12:04 PM)Remember the time when we lived in Trop that I said, "Shan, you match!" You gave me one of the most hateful looks I can muster in my imagination. Because you thought I meant your outfit. And I actually meant the seafoam green walls of our apartment complex. HAHAH!

> caring about saving electricity
> having neighbors who aren't college students
and having your own garage >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
...every time i drive in and out of this thing i feel like i'm at least 50.
Have not heard anything about an upcoming wedding from you?.....what is happening?
(08.13.09 @ 12:16 PM)you have electricity?
(08.19.09 @ 08:51 PM)
Maria Ortelle- its you!
email me your mailing address and i will mail you something wonderful.
here's her entry: My favorite piece of clothing is an ivory wool coat that I found at Buffalo Exchange in Portland...it is 3/4 sleeve, is pleated from the waist down. My favorite thing about it is the the big ivory buttons going down the front, and the one matching button on the back. Every time I wear it I feel like I'm Madeline walking down the streets of Paris.
and one of my favorites was from Rachel Clare:::
My favorite item(s) of clothing are my stretchy cotton knee-length skirts. I have 16 of them (no joke)
oh woohoo! I'm SO excited Shannon...I absolutely love getting mail, anything but bills...but a package from a cool photographer, wow. :) Thanks for making my day...I would say my entire week, but my brother just married the coolest girl ever on Saturday, so that was slightly more dramatic. Thanks again!
Oh, and the middle photo on this post is so great.
Picture number two rocks my world. It needs to be printed on canvas and mass distributed
