(02.11.11 @ 09:53 AM)Photos = Beautiful.
but I'm dying a little inside right now because you are drinking out of a jar. Doesn't it spill all over you cause of the threading on the glass???? I can't do it man... just can't do it.
(02.11.11 @ 02:41 PM)wondering if you are my long lost sister? that is the exact pic of my breakfast some mornings. In fact that egg on toast was my dinner last night! I favor almond butter on toast and i love the Udi's gluten free bread, that is so yummy toasted. My other favorite breakfast is plain yogurt, blueberries, and walnuts. i am wishing i ate that for dinner tonight over the heavy pizza my hubby brought home. :(
(02.11.11 @ 07:22 PM)mm! looks yummy!
especially the peanut butter on that precious toast!

I wish my life was as colorful as yours Shanny! I feel like your kitchen is made out of sunshine :)
(10.07.10 @ 02:39 PM)haha...i love baking "with me, for me." you don't have to be as aggressive in your defense eating that way.
:)
p.s. loving the clarity and colors!

(10.05.10 @ 01:43 PM)i love your room's disheveled-ness. do you wear a retainer???????????

love the symbolic stages of life
(02.23.11 @ 12:58 AM)You know, it was not till the early 20th C that pink became a feminine colour. It was, as late as Edwardian England and mid-war years Germany, a colour for boys -- it was seen as a vibrant, dominating colour too dangerous for young girls to be dressed in. For them, the calm and dulcet tones of blue were preferred, lest they become too masculine.
Two interesting things I see in this:
(02.23.11 @ 06:18 AM)1) Pink as feminine is a remarkably late-modern interpretation of the colour and the sex;
2) The understanding of personality as product of colour pallet should be taken more seriously than is often the case today.
I'm in the same coral pink stage. aaaand I totally just took photos of some of my fave coral pink things!
love it...so spring
(02.23.11 @ 09:45 AM)The little mermaid...spring...confidence.
(02.23.11 @ 09:54 AM)Those are the coral words that come to my mind!
I love that you said your favorite color changes all the time. I totally relate to this. I went through a very "earth tone" (browns, greens) phase,.. my mom bought me a brown sweater for xmas and said "oh I know how you love brown". I haven't worn it yet. I hate to tell her I never wear brown anymore - and am in a "kelly green and grey" phase now. :)
(02.23.11 @ 10:03 AM)coral and grey = the perfect combination.... i need more coral.
(02.23.11 @ 11:00 AM)love this shan. love the emotional symbolism behind your color focuses. :]
(02.23.11 @ 12:06 PM)Twins! I've always (well, since high school) said white is my favorite color, with coral coming in a close second.
(02.23.11 @ 01:02 PM)I am so with you on this, Shannon! I think that some of us are definitely more affected emotionally and in other ways by color. Lately I cannot get enough of hot pink / pinky corals / muted purply-greiges and especially this bright chartreuse / yellow. LOVE!
(02.23.11 @ 01:15 PM)Shanny, I have that SAME potted rose in my classroom and guess what!?
Mine's wilty too!
:o)

(02.24.11 @ 10:51 AM)Sitting here in one of my 20 grey shirts. They were are in my drawer next to my 20 caramel colored shirts, next to my 20 black shirts. Now I feel pretty boring. I logged onto Pinterest a month or so ago and now I am addicted. It has opened me up to a world of color. If you are not on there, please go join and you will not be disappointed.
